About Talley Wealth
Advice for the decisions that matter most
Talley Wealth is an independent planning firm in Johnson City, Tennessee, built for people who want thoughtful advice, clearer decisions, and a financial life that feels less scattered.
Why I built it this way
I spent the early part of my career watching successful people arrive at the most important financial chapter of their lives without the kind of coordinated planning they had earned. They had done the saving. They had made the right calls for thirty years. And then they reached retirement, or a business sale, or an inheritance, and the three pieces that mattered most, the plan, the investments, and the taxes, were being handled by three different people who never talked to each other. I built Talley Wealth to do those three things together, on purpose, in the right order.
That's the whole thesis. The plan comes first. The investments calibrate to it. Tax strategy runs through it as a year-round lever, not as something to react to in April. It sounds obvious when you say it. It's also genuinely rare.
Direct advice, organized follow-through
David leads the strategy, recommendations, tax planning, investment alignment, and major decisions. Stephenee Carberry, our Practice Manager, helps make the experience around that work clear, organized, and responsive.
That matters because good advice still has to become real life. Between meetings, there are documents, decisions, scheduling, follow-through, and questions that need a steady place to land. The goal is for the work to feel thoughtful in the room and well-run after you leave it.
Independence and how we get paid
Talley Wealth is independent. We aren't owned by a broker-dealer, a bank, or an insurance company. The work starts with the plan, and pricing is explained before an engagement begins. The full fee structure, including Keystone planning fees, ongoing advisory fees, and the limited situations where product compensation may apply, is on the pricing page.
